Dates of Service:  10 Dec 1864 - 6 Dec 1865


Littleton Wesley "West" Turner was born in May 1846 in Missouri, to James Jones Turner and Sarah Clark. He married Mary Elizabeth Fowler in 1867 and they had eight children.

 

On December 10, 1864, Wesley Turner enlisted as a Private in Company M, 16th Kansas Cavalry. He mustered out on December 6, 1865 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, having served for 11 months, 26 days.

 

He was admitted to Leavenworth Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers on January 26, 1912 with sciatica and cystitis. He died there on December 28, 1913,  at the age of 67, and was buried at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
